      2025 ASIA-PACIFIC YOUTH MODEL UNITED NATIONS (APYMUN 2025)

      🌏 Youth Shine at APYMUN 2025: Building Bridges for a Sustainable Future (Hong Kong, July 2025)

      We are thrilled to reflect on the incredible success of the 2025 Asia-Pacific Youth Model United Nations (APYMUN) Conference and Global Competence Youth Forum, co-organized by the Future Education Centre in partnership with Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) and other esteemed institutions.

      At Hong Kong Polytechnic University from July 14-16, 2025, young minds from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond came together to engage in meaningful dialogue about global challenges, spanning AI ethics to sustainable development.

      A Platform for Global Voices

      The opening ceremony at Hong Kong Polytechnic University featured inspiring speeches from dignitaries, including:

      • President Jia Wenjian (BFSU), who emphasized youth’s role in global governance and innovation.
      • Vice President Zhao Ruheng (Hong Kong PolyU), who urged participants to merge technology with humanistic values for a sustainable future.
      • A special video message from UN Secretary-General António Guterres, who praised Model UN as a catalyst for youth leadership.

      Students from 11 countries engaged in dynamic debates on AI cooperation, cultural heritage, and marine sustainability, culminating in a symbolic lighting of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) screen.
